Andrew Chinn did his research on Solera Senior Living before joining Edgeworth Park and what he learned blended perfectly with his passion for helping seniors. “I feel like Solera is doing it right!” he says. 

As Director of Facilities, Andrew directs and leads everything from capital projects to the day-to-day, wall-to-wall issues in maintenance, housekeeping, and transportation. He enjoys interfacing with residents and helping provide the best facility to meet their needs while making it feel like home.

And while he values each of Solera’s core values, Andrew zeroes in on commitment. “It is a huge and honorable responsibility to care for our family members, and we must be 100 percent committed to that,” he says. “If we are not here for them, who is? Who will care for them if we are not committed to our tasks?”

Andrew has 15 years of experience in facilities management and five years in senior living and surgical hospital leadership, handling HVAC, elevators, fire/life safety, OSHA compliance, and large capital projects in healthcare. 

Boating, fishing, building, gym time, cooking, and gardening keep Andrew busy when he’s not on the job. He also collects watches and takes care of chickens. And when it comes to a perfect location, Andrew says, “Fully stocked and fueled motor yacht on Lake Cumberland or the Caribbean…oh sorry, I lost my phone in the water.”
