Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care

Residents who are suffering from a memory loss diagnosis receive outstanding care from our team of dementia care professionals who strive to ensure that each resident is engaged, uplifted and feels a sense of purpose.

Dedicated Alzheimer’s Care

Our highly-trained, kind, and caring staff dedicates each day to engaging activities that enrich the lives of residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other related types of dementia, in the dedicated Memory Care neighborhood at Edgeworth Park. Our residents receive outstanding care from our team of dementia-care professionals who strive to ensure that each resident is engaged, uplifted and feels a sense of purpose. In order to achieve this, our own, in-house team developed an activity and enrichment program called Discover Memory Lane.

Discover Memory Lane

Our philosophy is to create life-affirming experiences for residents of our Memory Care neighborhood. We believe that life does not stop when you receive a memory loss diagnosis. A diagnosis means that a new chapter is beginning and that chapter should be filled with love and experiences.

The Discover Memory Lane program incorporates music, art, cognitive and physical activities into the lives of our residents throughout the day. These activities strive to preserve cognitive abilities while providing a feeling of a sense of accomplishment and individuality.

Calendar of Events & Activities

We schedule the things you want to do.

At Edgeworth Park, we schedule activities designed to keep our residents active, entertained and engaged. From interactive games to social events, each day is a new adventure. We curate a variety of activities on our calendar that includes music, pet therapy, matinees, poetry reading, bowling and sittercise. There are also western movie nights, baking club, corn hole and game show nights. Our residents enjoy physical activities such as putt-putt golf and basketball. For those that prefer a more relaxed lifestyle, we have a beautiful courtyard where residents can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee while interacting with each other. There is always something for everyone, and the schedule changes to match the interests of residents and to create an inspired lifestyle.

In addition to events and activities for residents, we also invite our residents’ families to join us for Family Nights, a variety of which are hosted throughout the year. Family Nights and Holiday Parties give our residents a chance to have the people that they love incorporated into their new way of living. We enjoy dance and musical performances, a spread of delicious food prepared by Executive Chef Dan Carr and visits from special guests. Even one of our local owners, Scott Wise, brings in his acoustic guitar and performs sing-a-longs with all of the residents.
