Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care
Residents who are suffering from a memory loss diagnosis receive outstanding care from our team of dementia care professionals who strive to ensure that each resident is engaged, uplifted and feels a sense of purpose.
Our highly-trained, kind, and caring staff dedicates each day to engaging activities that enrich the lives of residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other related types of dementia, in the dedicated Memory Care neighborhood at Edgeworth Park. Our residents receive outstanding care from our team of dementia-care professionals who strive to ensure that each resident is engaged, uplifted and feels a sense of purpose. In order to achieve this, our own, in-house team developed an activity and enrichment program called Discover Memory Lane.
Our philosophy is to create life-affirming experiences for residents of our Memory Care neighborhood. We believe that life does not stop when you receive a memory loss diagnosis. A diagnosis means that a new chapter is beginning and that chapter should be filled with love and experiences.
The Discover Memory Lane program incorporates music, art, cognitive and physical activities into the lives of our residents throughout the day. These activities strive to preserve cognitive abilities while providing a feeling of a sense of accomplishment and individuality.

Highly personalized care is at the center of everything we do at Edgeworth Park. We understand that each of our residents are different and that they all have needs that are individual to them. You can count on peace of mind, knowing that our community offers unique memory care safety features such as safety lights in the bathroom, a secure, glassed outdoor courtyard and the health care security of a Licensed Practical Nurse on site 24/7, plus physical, occupational and speech therapy if needed.
At Edgeworth Park, we schedule activities designed to keep our residents active, entertained and engaged. From interactive games to social events, each day is a new adventure. We curate a variety of activities on our calendar that includes music, pet therapy, matinees, poetry reading, bowling and sittercise. There are also western movie nights, baking club, corn hole and game show nights. Our residents enjoy physical activities such as putt-putt golf and basketball. For those that prefer a more relaxed lifestyle, we have a beautiful courtyard where residents can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee while interacting with each other. There is always something for everyone, and the schedule changes to match the interests of residents and to create an inspired lifestyle.
In addition to events and activities for residents, we also invite our residents’ families to join us for Family Nights, a variety of which are hosted throughout the year. Family Nights and Holiday Parties give our residents a chance to have the people that they love incorporated into their new way of living. We enjoy dance and musical performances, a spread of delicious food prepared by Executive Chef Dan Carr and visits from special guests. Even one of our local owners, Scott Wise, brings in his acoustic guitar and performs sing-a-longs with all of the residents.
When you are a full-time caregiver, it can be difficult to trust your loved one’s care to someone else—even for a short time. Now, you can take the well-deserved break or time away that you need, all the while knowing that your loved one is in the good, able-bodied hands of our staff at Edgeworth Park. Our respite care program is open to anyone requiring assistance with the activities of daily living due to Alzheimer’s or other memory disorders. Benefits include:
What is Alzheimer’s Disease? What are the signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s Disease? How can you treat Alzheimer’s Disease? These important questions are common amongst the families and loved ones of those in need of memory care. Many of these questions can be answered with the help of the easy-to-use guide created by the National Institute of Aging, “Caring for a Person with Alzheimer’s Disease.”
The guide will provide loved ones with the appropriate tools and information that they need, about Alzheimer’s Disease. It details the signs and symptoms of the disease, when it is important to see your doctor, the types of treatment available, research and case studies, and how to get help caring for a person with the disease.
